Whitewater Rafting

This month, we took a family vacation to the Smoky Mountains, staying near Gatlinburg, TN. We went with Brett’s family: his sister’s Susan,Laurie and their fam’s, and brother Jeff and his girls, and his dad and stepmom. While there, we got to go whitewater rafting for the first time. Opa and Oma stayed home to watch the young ones. We went on a class3 and class 4 rapids down the Pigeon River. It was so much fun!! And so beautiful!! Here are some pics.

Here are pics we took when we visited the cute coastal town of Holland, MI. These are touristy pics taken at the Holland Village and at Windmill Island.

I couldn't believe Heidi wasn't scared of these swings. It even scared me some. The first time, me, Heidi and Monica when on it. When it was over, I asked her if it was scary, and she said "No, mommy, it's not scary, it's for kids!" Then she wanted to go on it again! It made me feel sick, so that was the only time I went.
